This one-of-a-kind collection of plants is a love letter to my late Nan, Patricia (aka Tres) Normore—a gifted gardener and a truly kind spirit whose hands shaped the gardens around her home near the Labrador sea.
She had a rare gift for coaxing beauty from the soil. Her red dahlias (featured with Ian above and in her hand below), gigantic bleeding heart, abundant ice plants, and rows of calendulas never failed to stop you in your tracks.
Even in the salt air and cool Labrador Summers, her gardens flourished with warmth and color, reflecting the care she poured into everything she grew.
We’ve gathered these plants in a collection we've called Tried and True to honour her legacy and to share a small piece of the joy, resilience, and quiet magic that Tres brought to the world through her gardens.
Love,
